Street Road is pleased to have connected with Michaelann and Jerome of nearby StellaLou Farm, an extraordinary permaculture farm and homestead about 5 miles down the road. Among their many activities, they are beekeeping and building a meadery at StellaLou. In the interests of promoting a healthy local bee population, it's helpful to establish hives at least a few miles away, and so this summer Street Road is the happy host of some new, buzzy, residents. The hives gracing our hillside are built by Michaelann and Jerome, and beautifully painted by Hannah - we feel so lucky to have such amazing neighbors.
