​The place where this photograph was taken is Gibeka. It is a spiritual place where people go to pray. It is located at a mountain and it has a forest around it. Most people go there and pray by asking the mercy of God and with much hope that they will have the answers for their questions. I like that place, it is quite and beautiful and it’s important
to so many people. I photographed that place to keep memories and to show the world the beautiful places in Rwanda. It is unpopulated and I get happy going to that place.

Great session with West Chester East art and science students on Earth Day: ice core scientist Dr. Zoe Courville and artist Julia Dooley presented to the group, who've made related artworks all month. Their amazing 'ice-core' sci-artworks were displayed this weekend at Street Road, along with a reception at Street Road and talk by Courville and Dooley. Big thanks to Pennsylvania Partners in the Arts for supporting this project.
