Artist Adrian Barron has a permanent changing exhibition in our front flowerbed - the current planting is RHIZOME and is a pairing of garlics and violas. These babies went in the ground back in October and we thought we had to wait until June to see them come up. Maybe it was all that snow, we're not sure... but they're here, and going in the pot for dinner tonight!

3 months into our ongoing rock project we have received all sorts of altered rocks from artist young and old, amateur and professional; we thank you all for your participation. Surprised and amazed with each interpretation here are some photos that capture the array of artists work. Check out our ONGOING page for a closer look at the rocks. This is the latest addition to Street Road Rocks. It was created by Matt Buskell. Matt, who recently returned to the area from Texas, is one of the original team to work on the construction of our office at Street Road, so his talents are now doubly on display. We have yet to ask who the faces represent; my guess is Matthew McConaughey, Leonardo DiCaprio and Kevin Spacey…
We arrived at Street Road this morning to find this fellow poking out of the ground in our flowerbed. Part III of Adrian Barron's ongoing changing garden installation "Heterotopia West", this sprog is part of his rhizomatic installation for 2014 - consisting of Garlic and Violets. More photos and info here.
It's a heroic feat to come up this early on a plot of ground that has been under two feet of snow until just a few days ago, so Bravo, little guy. |
blogRegular posts from Street Road - check for updates on our shows, our friendly but slightly menacing groundhogs, bees from nearby Stella Lou Farm, and our growing collection of river rocks altered by the artistically inclined from all over the world. Categories
