We saved a fair amount of white pine from some trees that were cut down recently - probably enough to help build an extension to the gallery space... James.

Even though the sun didn't shine for us to do sun prints we got to add these awesome rocks to our ever growing Street Road Rock Project. Kaori Homma, in collaboration with Adrian Barron for summer 2014, planted her Homma Meridian @ Street Road with wildflowers. They're coming up - have a look. We like the way this brief film of the line highlights the contradictions of the Street Road site - at once deeply rural, but set hard by a 12,000 vehicle per day route. Read more about the ongoing Homma Meridian here. Street Road is happy to be continuing our workshops with Garage Community and Youth Center. Next up is sun printing and thinking about drawing with shadows and light: kids' work will be posted here soon. Pictured: a test print using plants from Adrian Barron's 'Heterotopia West' installation on our site. |
blogRegular posts from Street Road - check for updates on our shows, our friendly but slightly menacing groundhogs, bees from nearby Stella Lou Farm, and our growing collection of river rocks altered by the artistically inclined from all over the world. Categories
